Financial Planning Analyst

Responsible for ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting by collecting and analyzing company’s information, drawing up detailed reports and identifying opportunities for cost and performance optimization, to support organizational decisions and the alignment with company’s objectives.

What you should do:

  • Ensures that the necessary information is obtained from the organization’s departments for the correct and timely preparation of financial reports and analyses, full data reconciliation and compliance with reporting requirements.
  • Analyses expenses, revenues, and performance metrics, identifying trends and optimization opportunities.
  • Draws up detailed financial reports (for example, but not exclusively, based on types of costs, investments supplier levels, income types, operational KPI’s), including forecasts and benchmarks.
  • Evaluates the financial impact of the cost and operational marker  optimization initiatives, ensures their implementation, monitors and reports the results.
  • Acts in a proactive way, and signals eventual operational and financial issues in a timely manner.
  • Provides financial consultancy for other departmental directors and teams using financial scenarios and detailed simulations to support strategic decisions.
  • Ensures that departmental budgets are in line with the overall financial objectives of the company.
  • Proposes improvements to the reporting methodology to better align with the strategic objectives and requirements of the group.
  • Analyzes and approves the procurement orders, ensuring budgetary optimization and financial risks reduction.
  • Carries out financial analysis for different projects or business areas, including risk assessments, simulations and financial estimates.
  • Actively contributes to the preparation of presentations for the management board and Group, synthesizing complex data in a clear and action-oriented way.
  • Participate in the analysis of the market and competitors.
  • Executes assigned ad hoc requests.
  • Provides support and assists the team in fulfilling all requests on time and correctly.
  • Takes an active part in testing and implementing the requirements of new financial systems and instruments, identifying technological solutions that improve operational efficiency.
  • Creates/maintain the permanent updating of the procedures and working instructions in their area of activity.

What we want you to know:

  • Minimum 3-5 years relevant experience in the financial and accounting field, with direct involvement in financial planning, analysis and reporting.
  • Very good knowledge of the Romanian financial-accounting system and US GAAP.
  • The management of reconciliation and budgetary control processes. (Excel, Power BI, ERP).
  • Focus on solutions and long-term impact.
  • Reporting automation and process standardization.
  • Ability to synthesize large volumes of data to provide strategic insights.
